TÜV AUSTRIA takes the privacy of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially, in accordance with data protection legislation and this Privacy Policy.

In most instances, the use of our website requires no personal information.

If any personal data (such as name, address, or email address) is collected, it is provided on a voluntary basis. By entering your information, you consent to its storage and processing for the purposes of administration and customer care. TÜV AUSTRIA fully recognizes the importance of handling your data with care.

If you are against the use of this information for the purpose of informing you about other products and special offers and denote this during the provision of your personal information, TÜV AUSTRIA will respect this preference.

Use of cookies

Our website and mobile platforms as well as our e-learning platform use - and need - cookies to control the flow of the learning programs, and to collect statistics both for promotional purposes and to allow us to improve our web services. Cookies are small text files that are stored by the browser of an internet user on their hard drive when they visit a website. In the case of most Webtrekk Cookies, these are so-called Session Cookies. These cookies cannot damage the hard disk of the internet user and do not contain viruses. This data can not be associated with individual users. When visiting our website, you will be asked if you agree to our use of cookies. If you disagree with their use, we cannot guarantee that our web applications will work as intended, or that all functions will be available.

Web analysis

TÜV AUSTRIA uses Google Analytics from Google Inc. ("Google") as our web analysis service. Google Analytics uses cookies. The information generated by the cookie about your use of our website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.
On behalf of TÜV AUSTRIA, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of our website and mobile platform, compile reports for TÜV AUSTRIA on website activity, and provide other website- and internet-related services to TÜV AUSTRIA. You can disable the transmission of data generated by the cookie about your use of the website and the mobile platform (including your IP address) to Google and the subsequent processing of this data by Google via the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.
Within Google Analytics, your IP address will not be merged with other data acquired by Google. Given the debate about the use of analytical tools with full IP addresses, we would like to point out that our website uses Google Analytics with the "anonymizeIp()" extension, therefore shortening IP addresses prior to processing, in order to exclude the possibility of a direct connection to an individual.
TÜV AUSTRIA uses Google Remarketing technology, a service provided by Google Inc. ("Google"). With Google Remarketing, we can directly address site visitors with personalized internet-based advertisements, which appear when you visit other websites.

Links to other websites

Our website may contain links to other websites. Note, however, if you leave our website by clicking on these links, we have no control over external sites. We are therefore not responsible for the protection and security of information and data that you make available whilst visiting such sites. This Privacy Policy specifically does not apply to external sites. We recommend that you read the privacy policies applicable to such external websites.
